Police appeal after man, 24, assaulted

A 24-year-old man has been left with ‘serious facial injuries’ after being assaulted, police said.

It happened at around 4am on October 2 on Queen Street, Morecambe.

It is believed that the victim was assaulted after leaving a bar in the town centre and three men may have been involved, who then ran off.

The victim, from Lancaster, suffered serious facial injuries and is still receiving medical treatment for his injuries.

DC Donna Hemingway of Lancaster Police said: “We believe there were a number of people on Queen Street at the time and we would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident or has any information in relation to the matter.”

l A 34-year-old man from Morecambe was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding and released on bail until November 4.
