Police appeal after bikes stolen in Preston

Bikes worth thousands of pounds have been stolen in a break-in in Preston.

A shed was broken into in the Sherwood area of Fulwood last week, with five mountain bikes and road bikes taken.

Police said together, the bicycles were valued at more than £3,000.

The bikes taken include a Jamis Xenith Comp road bike in black and silver, a Boardman Pro TXC 29 Mountain Bike in silver, and a Boardman TXC 650B Comp mountain bike in white.

Also taken was a Boardman Comp Hybrid bike in white with black writing and a Boardman MTB 650B mountain bike in white.

Police said, alongside the bikes, a Wilson Pro golf club set in a black carry bag was also stolen, and a Makita cordless drill.

Anybody with information is asked to call 101, quoting SA1603813 or pass on information on the Lancashire Police website.
