Preston mum Mary receives emotional movie for her 60th birthday from friends and family across the world

Jonny O’Doherty, 35, and Sean O’Doherty, 36, from Preston, secretly arranged for more than 70 friends and family from around the world - including as far away as San Francisco - to send video messages to mark the special occasion.

They then turned the mini movies into an emotional and memorable film for their mother Mary.

It even included a message from X-Factor star Wagner.

The grandmother of two is a key worker at Iceland in the city centre.

Jonny said: “She was supposed to have a party for her birthday on April 16.

“Since April 1 we have been arranging for our relatives to send their videos for her birthday movie.

“On the big day I drove to her house but stayed in my car to speak to her - she was so happy people had taken the time to wish her a happy birthday.”
