The Royal British Legion branch hosted the commemoration on Saturday, which included laying wreaths at the town’s war memorial, to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day.

Attendees included: Michael Turner, organiser and RBL county chairman; piper Bill Barlow; parade marshal and bugler Darryl Cartwright; and standard bearers L/Cpl Cartwright and Stuart Dagger.
