A well known antiques expert and Lancaster antiques centre owner has died aged 75.

Allan Blackburn, who owned GB Antiques Centre in Lancaster and also did a popular antiques column for the Lancaster Guardian and The Visitor for over 15 years, passed away in the Royal Preston Hospital on Saturday, August 13 after a short illness.

Allan Blackburn was famously related to John Logie Baird who invented television in 1926.

Allan leaves behind his wife Gloria, son Jimmy, and daughters Dawn and Mel.
