Katie Corless and Conor Holgate tie the knot at Ribby Hall Village

But when she saw her groom, Conor Holgate, waiting for her at the end of the aisle at Ribby Hall Village, the anxiety melted away.

The couple met online and Conor, a technical support manager, proposed to Katie at sunset in Santorini.

They wanted a small, intimate wedding and that is just what they had.

It was an extra special day because they both felt Conor’s dad’s presence all day. He passed away 20 years ago and they wrote a poem for him in the ceremony.

Their dog Luna was also there.

Katie, a retail costs manager, said: “She is our baby and wouldn’t be right to leave her out!

“My special moment was doing a ‘first look’ with my dad.

“I am very much a daddy’s girl and I immediately started crying when I saw him!

“It was a small wedding of 50 guests, but it was so intimate and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

“I cried during every speech, they were all so funny, caring and full of love.”

They organised a saxophonist called Sax Every Weekend and we danced into the night.

Conor said: “It was such a special moment when I saw Katie for the first time as a bride.

“She looked so beautiful, it’s a moment I will never forget.

“The day was such a blur, but every second was amazing. I could relive that day everyday.

Katie added: “Our wedding day was so intimate and lovely.

“I was so nervous all morning, but as soon as I saw Conor at the end of the aisle all my nerves melted away.

“Our wedding perfectly summed us up as a couple, we ate great food, laughed, danced and cried.

“I would do anything to do it all over again!” They honeymooned in Thessaloniki.
