Four French bulldog puppies found dead in field in Heysham

Lancaster City Council's dog warden was called out to a report of what appeared to be four French Bulldog Puppies abandoned on the field by Meldon Road, Heysham today, Friday.

A spokesman for the dog warden said: "Unfortunately when the dog warden arrived all four newborns had passed away.

"One appeared to have a deformity so it is possible they have been abandoned by a breeder, because they were thought to be no good to sell!

"We thought it best to blur the puppies out of the images, so as not to upset anyone.

"We have now passed the case on to our colleagues at RSPCA who will carry out a full investigation.
