The Forrests Arms up for top gong after recent refurbishment

One of Longridge's popular pubs is up for a top industry award after a £50,000 refurbishment earlier this year.

The Forrests Arms in Derby Road has been shortlisted in the Best Joint Investment category at the inaugural Ei Group Awards for Excellence.

The awards ceremony aims to recognise the achievements of all types of pubs and restaurants throughout the country that are operating under the Ei Group’s control.

The bash will highlight the accomplishments of some of the most innovative and successful publicans across a number of categories, with the Best Joint Investment category recognising investment in pubs alongside Ei Publican Partnership.

The Forrest Arms is set to re-open after £50,000 refit

The couple, who took on the long-established pub six years ago as their first venture into the pub trade, said: “Following our refurbishment earlier this year, we’re delighted to be

shortlisted.

“It is testament to the hard work of our team over the past six years and particularly their energy and enthusiasm in delivering a quality environment for our customers following

refurbishment earlier this year.”

The pub reopened in February after what was described as a “welcome facelift”.

Traditionalists were also kept happy with the most prominent feature, its circular bar, continuing to be the most distinguishing attraction.
