Fire crew called to Longridge to help cat stuck up a tree

Firefighters from Preston were called to Longridge last night after getting reports of a cat stuck up a tree.

One crew was dispatched to Lower Road at 7:30pm, where they stayed for around one hour.

A spokesman from Preston Fire Station said: "We got the cat down using one of our fire service ladders."
