In Longridge, there was to be a service, last post played and wreath-laying by invited people. Now there is only to be wreath-laying by the Mayor of Longridge alongside the Deputy Mayor of Ribble Valley Borough Council at the War Memorial.

Residents are urged not to attend, but to watch a live stream on the Your Longridge Facebook group and to use the hastag #LongridgeRemembers on social media to show how they are commemorating.

In Hurst Green, High Sheriff Catherine Penny will still be wreath-laying at the war memorial near the Shireburn Arms Hotel, but a service planned for the memorial hall at 12.15pm on Sunday has now been moved outside.

It is hoped a bugler from Stoneyhurst College can still play the Last Post.

Members of public are urged not to attend to watch.

In Ribchester there will be a wreath-laying ceremony by the town war memorial on Sunday, November 8 at 12.15pm, for invited guests only.

On Wednesday, November 11, there will not be a gathering at the war memorial. A two-minutes silence will be observed there by members of the War Memorial Trust only.

Due to restriction changes, Penwortham Town Council is looking to live-stream an invite-only wreath-laying service at the war memorial on Penwortham Hill on November 11.

The Town Council urges people not to congregate to watch the wreath-laying and anyone who wishes to lay a wreath at the site is asked to do so before November 11.

South Ribble, Chorley, Preston and Wyre Councils have all pre-recorded their wreath-laying services to be streamed on their respective Facebook pages on Remembrance Sunday.
