Bank holiday travel: Three-vehicle M6 crash causes traffic delays for Platinum Jubilee weekend motorists

Anyone travelling towards the Lake District for the extended Bank Holiday weekend is advised to urge caution after a three-vehicle crash on the M6.

The incident near Lancaster is said to be causing "severe" delays for motorists alongside a traffic pile up.

Anyone travelling on the M6 northbound between junction 34 for Lancaster and junction 35 for Carnforth is being warned to expect delays of up to 16 minutes to pass through.

The average speed is five miles per hour.
