Employees have already caused a bit of a stir in the village by dressing up as Santa and his elves for the shop’s Christmas card.

Director Steve Mayor said: “The staff are well up for it. We’re just trying to bring a bit of brightness to the misery of what’s going on.

“We’re on the school run and have already had a few people looking in. The shop’s decorated and the little kids just love it.

“We’re not your standard mortgage brokers - we like to make things a little bit different.”

It launched in 2005 with the main aim of saving people money on their mortgage.

Steve said the staff enjoyed the Christmas card photo shoot - which included a Beatles-stytle Abbey Road album front cover of crossing the road outside the shop, much to the amusement of passers by and motorists.

“We had a few pictures done for the Christmas card,” he said. “We were out there for about 20 minutes.”
