A photographic exhibition displaying Preston’s landmarks and communities as they have never been seen before will start on Friday.

Preston People Panorama will be held at the Museum of Lancashire and will run until Sunday, May 19.

Photographer Jan Chlebik has captured over 80 groups, from the Mela Trust to firemen, bikers, council workers and Morris dancers.

Chlebik said: “I am thrilled that my love of this traditional yet neglected style of photography can be used to get right into the soul of a modern community.”

The narrative for the exhibition is being written by internationally renowned poet and playwright Lemn Sissay.

Frankie Mullen, director of social enterprise Dovetail, said: “We are privileged to have worked with the people of Preston.”
