Traffic in Buckshaw Village was put on hold as a swan decided to take a rest in the middle of the road.
Residents of Highland Drive were in a flap as the bird was not for shifting, despite their best gentle efforts.
Drivers were forced to wing it and mount the pavement to skirt slowly around the swan, which clearly had some neck.
If you ask us it should be hauled before the beak immediately.
