Northbound traffic busy at Cop Lane in Penwortham

The entry ramp is closed onto A582 Golden Way as roadworks to resurface the road are overrunning.

According to the AA: “Resurfacing works were expected to be completed over the weekend, however the works has over-ran.

“As of yet it is unclear when the slip road will re-open.”
