MY BIGGEST BARGAIN
“I bought this faux leather jacket in September last year from Forever 21. I loved it when I saw it on a mannequin and I wanted it straight away, but I was dreading looking at the price tag.
“I couldn’t believe it when it said it was only £18.
“I grabbed one off the rail, tried it on and was pleasantly suprised by how well it fitted and how well it looked.
“I don’t think that by looking at it you can tell that it was a bargain and even when you touch it it doesn’t feel cheap.
“As I was out shopping with my friend at the time, I asked her to guess how much she thought the jacket cost.
“She guessed at £50 and when I told her the real price, she quickly tried one on, loved it and purchased one too.
“Now we look like twins when we go out together but I don’t mind - you can’t turn a bargain like that down!
“I’ve had my leather jacket for just under a year now and to be honest I’ve worn it nearly every day since I bought it.
“It served me well in winter to wear over a jumper and it keeps me dry if it is raining and it is perfect for summer for when it turns a little chilly at night.
“The other great thing about it is that it is very versatile.
“It can be worn with just a T-shirt and leggings as a casual look, or it can be teamed with skinny jeans and heels for a night out.
“Before my bargain buy, I had never bought anything from Forever 21 before, but now every time I am out shopping, I go in looking for another bargain.
“I have found some good ones since - but nothing compares to my £18 leather jacket!”
MY ULTIMATE SPLURGE
“Around about Christmas time, I became really focused on exercising and working out.
“I wanted to become healthier and lose a bit of weight so I signed up for the gym and started eating well.
“I wanted to do the whole thing properly so I went and spent quite a lot of money on some gym essentials.
“These Nike trainers cost me £90, but they are worth every penny.
“I think it is really important to feel comfortable when exercising and these trainers are the comfiest pair that I have ever had. They are so comfy that I even wear them when I’m not at the gym.
“The ridges on the bottom make them very flexible, so when I am running, they curve with my feet and make the impact with the ground a lot softer.
“I think this is really important because running in heavy trainers can do a lot of damage to your knees and I definitely don’t want to injure myself.
“There’s also a mesh panel at the front of the trainers, meaning that you get a breeze on your feet when you’re outside to help keep you cool which is great.
“I have never spent that much money on a pair of shoes before, but considering that I go to the gym four times a week, I think it was a very reasonable and beneficial purchase.
“I have already had my money’s worth from these trainers and what’s even better is that they have helped me to lead a healthier and happier lifestyle.”
