South Ribble MP Seema Kennedy has called for action to be taken on road safety issues.
She said she shares concerns of local residents about the amount and speed of traffic in residential streets and the danger this poses to pedestrians and other road users.
Mrs Kennedy said: “I have been written to Lancashire County Council asking that road safety measures are put in place on a number of roads across the constituency. I am pleased to see that Speed Indicating Devices (SpIDs) are being placed on streets in Croston and Penwortham to monitor the traffic speeds, with a view to take any further necessary action to slow the speed of traffic in residential streets.”
She had also been surveying constituents. Anyone with an issue is asked to contact her on: http://www.seemakennedy.co.uk/campaigns
