Moving farewell to dad killed in Euxton crash
Alex, 23, and fiancee Kirsty Belsham, 22, were killed in a car accident on a country lane at Euxton, near Leyland, just five days after they got engaged in March.
The couple left behind daughter Lacey May, five, and son Tyler James, four. And as dozens of those closest to Alex gathered in St James’ Church in Brindle for his funeral, a picture of the couple greeted them at the front of the church.

This was followed by a reflection of Manchester United fan Alex by his brother Malcolm.
He said: “Alex really doted on his children and was a very responsible father.
“He did everything he could to support them and wanted to start his own business but that has sadly been cut short.
“He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.”

Hide AdAn ode to Alex in the order of service read: “You will never age, you will always be a young man taken too soon.
“Too soon to see your children grow up, too soon to walk your daughter down the isle on her special day, too soon to take your son to his first football match - Manchester United of course.
“We will always age, but you will always be our young man.”
The family have expressed their thanks for their kind messages of support and generous donations which will now go into a trust fund for Alex and Kirsty’s two children.
Instead of flowers the family ask any donations be made to the fund via www.gofundme.com/qvw6nfvn
