Snow and ice could make travelling difficult in parts of Lancashire on Monday, according to forecasters.
A yellow alert for the North West has been issued by the Met Office, with experts warning strong winds could make the conditions even more testing for road users, with a chance of disruption to public transport.
The milder weather of recent weeks is to be replaced by more wintry conditions, with snowfalls predicted, particularly on high ground.
The Met Office says a yellow warning means “be aware” about the potential for disruption and plan ahead for the possibility of travel problems.
Forecasters also issued flood alerts for the North Lancashire coastline including north Morecambe Bay and the Lune Estuary.
