Moorland blaze tackled by fire crews

Firefighters tackled a moorland blaze that broke out in Lancashire.

Teams from Bacup were called to land near New Road in Whitworth at about 7.05pm on Friday, after the fire broke out above Cowm Reservoir.

The fire involved approximately 300 metres of moorland.

Firefighters used three beaters to put the fire out.
