Missing 53-year-old veteran found safe after going missing in Warton

A 53-year-old military veteran has been found safe after disappearing from his home in Warton at the weekend.

Paul Dukes had been reported missing after he was last seen in the Harbour Lane area at 7am on Sunday (October 25).

Lancashire Police described Paul's disappearance as "very concerning" and issued a missing person's appeal to help find Mr Dukes.

The force said it believed Mr Dukes might have travelled to Keswick in Cumbria in a converted Vauxhall Vivaro campervan, and this is where the 53-year-old was found "safe and well" this morning.

Lancashire Police tweeted: "Good news! Further to our earlier appeals, Paul Dukes, 53, missing from Warton, was found safe and well in Cumbria earlier today (Tuesday, October 27).

"Thanks to everyone who shared our appeals to find him."
