CancerHelp (Preston) Ltd’s team at Croston House, Garstang, has received an award from the National Campaign for Courtesy for its approach in working with clients.

Launched in 1986, the National Campaign for Courtesy is a registered charity and a not-for-profit association which utilises a network of volunteer regional representatives. Alan Coles, regional executive of the organisation, nominated CancerHelp after using its services himself.

He said: “One of the outstanding memories during my time at Croston House was the politeness and courtesy of every member of staff.

“Consequently, wearing my Campaign for Courtesy hat, I feel it appropriate to consider making an award to all the staff there.”

Jeanette Smalley, general manager at CancerHelp, said: “We are delighted that the team has been recognised by the National Campaign for Courtesy through the experience Alan Coles had when accessing our services.

“We are an important part of community in Garstang especially as more and more people are receiving a cancer diagnosis and it is marvellous that our team going about their daily roles has been acknowledged for the manner in which they do this.”
