Firefighters were called to rescue a man from a bouncy castle.

The man had been on the bouncy castle on Mendip Road, Clayton-le-Woods, when he sustained a neck injury.

When paramedics, who had been called to the incident at around 11pm on Friday night, were struggling to reach then man, a crew from Bamber Bridge Fire Station attended the scene to assist.

A spokesman from the fire station said: “The young man had become trapped on the bouncy castle because as paramedics were trying to reach him with a spinal board he would move around, due to the weight distribution.

“We were called to deflate the castle and stabilise the situation while the paramedics assisted the man.”
