Man in his 80s suffers 'serious' leg injury after falling on bus in Preston

A man suffered a serious leg injury after falling on the number nine bus - which was travelling towards Preston city centre - on New Hall Lane at around 1.10pm Thursday, June 18.

The man, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police would now like to speak to anybody who was on board the bus at the time and witnessed the incident.

Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Police’s Tac Ops team, said: "The number 9 bus was travelling towards Preston when this incident occurred, and we believe there were other passengers on board at the time.

"We are working hard to piece together exactly what occurred and would like to speak to anybody who saw the incident and has not yet been spoken to by police."
