Man found dead in home in Preston

Several police vehicles were spotted outside a property in Birkdale Drive today (November 25), with the force telling the Post officers had responded to a "concern for welfare" call.

They are understood to have made their way into the house before finding the man, who is believed to be in his 40s, at around 11am.

Detectives attended, as did crime scene investigators, and they have now ruled out foul play.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "Officers attended with the body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, sadly found dead inside the property.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course."
