Man dies after collapsing at a Chorley cafe

A man has died after collapsing at a cafe in Chorley this morning (Monday, October 19).

Emergency services rushed to the cafe in Chapel Street after the man suffered a suspected cardiac arrested at around 8am.

Paramedics attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 8am today (Monday, October 19) to a report a man had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest in Chapel Street, Chorley.

"Emergency services attended but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious.

"A file will be passed to the coroner in due course."

One end of Chapel Street was closed off, at Church Street and Clifford Street, whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
