Man cut free after car crash

A man was cut free from a car following a crash in a Lancashire village.

Emergency services were called to Lancaster Road in Cockerham at 5.25pm on Sunday, after a car left the road and landed on an embankment.

Fire crews cut the roof from the car, and a man was rescued and taken to hospital by air ambulance.

His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
