Man in court charged with raping a 13-year-old girl
A 32-year-old man will go before Preston Magsitrates' Court this morning, charged with the rape and false imprisonment of a 13-year-old girl.
Jerard Zalewski of Burnham Road, Dartford, was arrested at a house in Kent on Tuesday, following reports of a teenager being raped in Withy Grove Park, Bamber Bridge.
Lancashire Police launched an investigation at around 2.30pm on Friday, June 17 following a reports of an incident some time during the day on Thursday, June 16.
Around the time of the incident, neighbours reported scenes of crime officers in the park and an area near a tree cordoned off.
The girl is being supported by specially trained officers.
