Bus passengers have been warned to check new timetables ahead of major changes to up to nine Stagecoach routes in and out of Preston.
The national operator will be introducing revised services to places like Longridge, Ormskirk, Southport, Blackpool, Liverpool and Blackburn from Sunday.

Some routes will get a completely new timetable, while others will just see minor changes. The company says alterations are as a result of customer feedback and are designed to “improve service reliability and reflect demand in the area.”
Elisabeth Tasker, managing director of Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire, said: “We’ve listened to feedback from regular users of these buses and acted accordingly. We regularly evaluate our routes and look to see where we can improve. We are committed to offering a service which is tailored to the needs of the communities in each of our catchment areas.”
From Sunday, services 1, 1A, 2, 2A, 9, 61, 68, X2 and 2X will see changes. Passengers are advised to check their route online before travelling.
The 1 and 1A services from Preston to Longridge via Gamull Lane will now run to a new timetable all week with most journey times changed. The 2 and 2A Preston to Ormskirk or Southport will run a few minutes earlier from Preston to improve reliability.
The No 9 Preston to Moor Nook will now operate more frequently during Monday to Saturday shopping hours with some other timing changes to reflect traffic conditions.
There will also be changes to the timetable for services 68 and 61 between Preston and Blackpool. The X2 service between Preston and Liverpool will operate from an updated timetable through Banks. The No 2X will no longer be used between Preston and Southport and buses will run the full Preston to Liverpool route as the X2.
Passengers for the No 59 Blackburn service in the city centre using the Church Street stop should now board the bus at the No 9 Lancaster Road bus stop so that all Stagecoach buses along New Hall Lane in Preston use the same city centre stop.
