“Charlotte Lily from the X Factor was singing in the background. Everyone loved the place and what we’ve done with it.

“Each room has a different theme so that when people stay with us its never the same, it’s always a different experience.”

Rooms at the hotel in Camden Place include names such as Mayfair, J’adore, Chic, Venice, The Library, The Bond Room, complete with ceramic gun lamps and a two bedroom apartment called The Lodge with a countryside theme. The best room, the Secret Garden has a free standing copper bath.

“It’s been two years in the making,” said Richard. “We have got No.10 Preston and we have just extended here. There’s a gap in the market for luxury.
