The X Factor’s loss is Blackpool’s gain – as the show’s former star Louis Walsh takes over the judging at the resort’s Talent Fest UK final.
After 11 years on the prime time TV show, Louis bowed out this season – and will take over head judging duties at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on September 26 and 27.

Talent Fest UK host Robin Elliott said he was delighted to secure Louis as head judge.
He added: “I am honoured to have someone as high profile as Louis Walsh judge our competition.
“Louis is synonymous with judging prestigious talent shows and he will certainly be a huge inspiration to all our competitors.
“I set up Talent Fest UK four years ago, however this year has surpassed my expectations and has attracted thousands of competitors from all over Ireland, England and Europe.
“We have singers, choirs, dancers, actors, acrobatic acts – you name it, Talent Fest UK has got it.
“The level of talent is exceptional and definitely on a par with Britain’s Got Talent finalists.”
The show is the culmination of heats across the country with winners bidding for the Talent Fest national top spot.
For those who didn’t get a chance to take part in Talent Fest UK this year, there is still a chance to perform and win some great prizes by performing at the event’s Talent Hub in the Winter Gardens on the days of the shows..
On September 26, there will be a chance to win a support slot with Union J that same night. And on the Sunday September 27 there will be the chance to perform in front of Louis Walsh and other special guest judges to open the Talent Fest UK Awards Ceremony.
Scouts from Britain’s Got Talent will also be attending both nights of the show.
