A LEVEL RESULTS: Fulwood Academy

Headteacher Stephen Henry says results are the just rewards for two years of hard work.

He added: “We have had some outstanding individual results with a record number of students gaining A*grades and A grades.

Our students are now heading to some of the top Russell Group universities to start their journey into higher education on courses ranging from philosophy to nursing.

“Others are starting apprenticeships with local employers and some have secured appointments with outstanding businesses to start their careers.”

Mr Henry said: “These results have built on the good news from Ofsted in the summer term in making it a summer to really celebrate.

“We are equally proud of all of them and wish them all the very best for the future.

“They have been real role models for the younger students at the academy and we hope they will come back and visit us to share their experiences.

“We will be from next week recruiting our next cohort and are happy to take applications from any student who wants to be a part of a real success story.”
