But the new operators have already apparently held a VIP night and are getting ready to launch.

According to the Trinity Facebook page, it will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and coffee

It will also offer a takeaway service.

The venue posted a picture of its new pumps and posted: “We now have our pumps installed! Anyone for a pint? Magners original and dark fruit, Bud Light and Stella 4.“

Solita moved into the former Heathcote’s restaurant in 2016.

The burger chain, which also has sites in Prestwich, Manchester and Didsbury, said the Winckley Square site did not quite work.

It had tried to find an alternative site on Fishergate but “unfortunately were unsuccessful in finding a site that met our size and location requirements.”

The news attracted hundreds of comments, with many showing their sadness at the city losing what quickly became an iconic restaurant.

No-one was available to comment at the Trinity Brasserie Bar and Cocktail Lounge.
