A woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted a decade ago, secretly taped a "confession" from her attacker, a jury has been told.
The woman invited the man to her home in the Garstang area and told him she wanted "closure," Preston Crown Court heard.
As the "victim," in her 20s and who cannot be named, questioned the man, she was secretly recording the conversation on a dictaphone.
It is alleged the defendant in the case, Michael Heller, then went on to confess that he had sexually assaulted the girl in 1997.
The woman handed over the recording, which was played to the court yesterday.
Heller, 53, of Lovat Road, Deepdale, Preston, is charged with attempted rape, two offences of indecent assault and indecency with a child. He denies all the allegations.
