A dad-of-seven was dragged across a petrol station forecourt in a sickening racist attack, Preston Crown Court heard.
Azor Ali, 40, was savagely beaten by three louts as he filled his car up at the Esso garage in Clayton Brook.
Mr Ali told the Lancashire Evening Post: "I thought I was going to die."
Chilling CCTV footage shows the mob shouting racist taunts at Mr Ali before launching a vicious volley of kicks and punches. They even threw a bucket of sand over him as he lay prone on the station forecourt. But the attack was caught on the garage's CCTV and led to their conviction.
Cousins Robin and Christopher Beckett and fellow thug Ryan Jermy were locked up after what one detective today described as one of the worst assaults he had ever seen.
Mr Ali, who runs the Raj restaurant in Warton, near Preston, and the Lostock Tandoori takeaway in Lostock Hall, said: "I have visited the petrol station many times.
"It was after midnight and I was filling up when I heard the men shouting racist words to me.
"They were telling me to go back to my own country. I ignored them but that made them more angry. I decided to get away and when I went to pay they attacked me.
"They were kicking and punching me. I was very frightened. Somebody hit me with something that felt like metal – I think it was a bucket."
Mr Ali was left with horrific bruises to his face, back and arms.
The attack, in June, was witnessed by horrified members of public, one of whom, carrying a white carrier bag, tried to intervene.
Mr Ali managed to scramble to his feet and drive away from his attackers briefly until the police arrived.
He said he was determined not to let the thugs get the better of him.
He added: "The police came and took me to hospital for treatment. I had bruises and blood in my eyes and on my body.
"These men are very horrible and deserve prison. It nearly put me off coming to work but I love these places."
Dad-of-one Christopher Beckett, 28, of Schoolfield, Bamber Bridge, admitted racially aggravated actual bodily harm and was jailed for 40 weeks at Preston Crown Court.
He has a string of convictions, including an attack in which he poured washing up liquid into his victim's mouth.
Robin Beckett, 24, of Daisy Meadow, Clayton Brook, admitted actual bodily harm and was jailed for 34 weeks.
He has convictions for assault, including an attack in which he tried to strangle his victim.
Ryan Jermy, 18, also of Daisy Meadow, Clayton Brook, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated actual bodily harm. He was sentenced to 40 weeks in a young offender's institution.
