Firefighters were called to a South Shore fast-food restaurant yesterday evening at around 9pm after high winds caused damage to a sign.
The popular restaurant on the Promenade lost its iconic 'M' in yesterday's high winds, say fire services.
The remaining parts of the sign, which were made of two-metre square steel panels, were removed to ensure the safety of the public.
Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
