A plaque to mark the surgery where one of the founding fathers of the GP service practised is to go up on a Preston pub next year.
The North West branch of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has received permission to put up the heritage plaque on The Guild pub on Fylde Road.
The pub was once the Fylde Road Surgery where Dr Fraser Rose, who jointly founded the RCGP, practised for nearly 40 years while living in adjoining Moss Cottage.
