Three ferrets have been stolen from a Lancashire college.

The trio, which were popular with students, were taken from Lancaster and Morecambe College between 4.30pm on Wednesday and 7.30am on Thursday.

They were stolen from a pen in a remote college car park on Morecambe Road.

PC Simon Harrison said: “Two of the ferrets were called Jedward; however Edward was stolen and now John is alone after two female ferrets were also taken.

“Both the female ferrets have distinctive mask markings so I’d ask people to take a look at the photographs and urge anybody with any information to contact police on 101.”
