Lancashire Country and Western Club scoops radio gold

The Phoenix Rebels Country Music Club has been named as the ‘UK’s Best Club’ in a national country music competition.

The venue, which opened in 2000, was based at Hesketh Bank Bowling Club and is run by husband and wife team Fred and Julie Jorden.

The club is open on Friday and Saturday nights with live music and dancing.

The second and third placed winners were Edenham Village Hall in South Lincolnshire and the Triple A Country Music Club at Asfordby in Leicestershire respectively.
