Knock yourself out for charity

Strong competitors are wanted to compete in a series of fun-filled inflatable challenges for charity.

Fairydust Events, a non-profit organisation, is on the look-out for teams of up to 10 to compete in It’s a Knockout to raise cash for Cancer Help Preston, Blackpool Tiggers, Preston Neonatal Unit and Lagans Foundation.

The event takes place on September 11 at Ashton park, from 11am.

Sarah Williams, event organiser, said: “This is a hugely impressive self contained game derived from the hit television show It’s A Knockout from the 1970’s, with an arena full of giant inflatables, complete with a disco cabaret roadshow and a myriad of stage props and equipment guaranteeing a magical, wonderful day full of fun and laughter.

“The company has been running these events for 32 years, and all staff are fully trained in all aspects of the show.

“Each group will move to different inflatables for the main games. During the inflatable games they are all called back to stage for our first cabaret act which they all join in the fun for further bonus points for the team’s contribution. This is then repeated throughout the show until the course is completed.

“At the end there may be a semi-final or a final or there may be an outright winner and there are then the presentation of awards and winners’ certificates, medals and the winner’s trophy.

“The main emphasis of the day is fun so make sure you are in good voice and ready to cheer on your team. This is a great family day out and a chance to watch the other teams participating.

“This event will help local charities with the funding they so desperately need whilst you enjoy a fantastic day out with your friends and/or co-workers.”

Entry is £200 - £20 per person. Minimum of six people and maximum of 10 per team.
