Junior doctors have begun further strike action today, in a bitter dispute with the government over a new contract.
Thousands of junior doctors have begun the first all-out strike in the history of the NHS, with picket lines outside hospitals.
Procedures and operations have been postponed after the further walk-out was agreed by the British Medical Association.
Junior doctors will stage a fifth strike today until 5pm, and a further strike on Wednesday from 8am to 5pm.
It is the first time in this country that doctors have staged a full walk-out. In previous strikes junior doctors provided emergency care cover.
