Macmillan Cancer Support raised an amazing £656 during a street collection in Preston.
The collection saw volunteers dress up as characters, including Batman nemisis The Joker and charaters from the video game series Mario Brothers.
Fun-raising manager Fiona Dundas said: “It’s a huge amount raised for Macmillan. More than one in three people will get cancer at some point in their lives. When someone has cancer, they don’t just worry about what will happen to their body, but they also worry about what will happen to their life.
“At Macmillan, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything and we want to be there to support everyone through. From our expert nurses, help with money worries and advice about work, to someone who’ll listen if you just want to talk, we’ll be there. We can’t thank the people of Preston enough for their fantastic fundraising, we are hugely grateful.”
