Get into the real Christmas spirit by joining us for the Lancashire Evening Post’s annual free carol service.
Carols By Candlelight will take place at St John’s Minster, Church Street, Preston, on Wednesday, December 16, from 7pm.
It is a chance to sing some of your favourite carols, including Good King Wenceslas and Hark the Herald Angels Sing as well as enjoying music from the wonderful choir, the Company of Voyces.
Louisa Stirland, former BBC Young Chorister of the Year and now a scholar of the Royal Academy, will also perform.
There will be a number of traditional readings.
The service is being led by the Vicar of Preston, Father Timothy Lipscomb.
Lancashire Evening Post Editor Gillian Parkinson said: “Carols by Candlelight is always a wonderful event and we hope readers will join us on Wednesday evening at the Minster for a evening of music, celebration and reflection.”
Tea, coffee and mince pies, which are being provided by Preston’s Poundbakery, will be available after the service is finished.
