A note posted on the IGT (Independent Garstang Traders) website page from Carrs jewellers in the town revealed that the Garstang shop would no longer be stocking Pandora products after mid January.

Customers have been urged that if they want to exchange any Pandora products to call in as soon as possible.

The long-established jewellery store reported: “As many of you know, from January 12 we will not be selling Pandora anymore, as Pandora feel that an outlet in Garstang is no longer part of their strategy.”

Carrs advised: “After this date, and if you are requiring a different size of Pandora ring, please can you visit the Pandora concept store in Preston, with your receipt and they will deal with your enquiry.”

Damien Carr of Carrs Jewellers added: “Obviously we are disappointed about Pandora’s decision and some customers are understandably upset but it has been said by Pandora that we don’t fit into their strategy anymore and it is not just Garstang that they have come out of there have been many other businesses.

“We have enjoyed selling it but we were in no way reliant on Pandora and are looking forward to taking on new brands this year.”

Several frustrated customers have expressed their ‘digsust’ on the IGT website.

Lindsey McKirdy said: “What absolute rubbish – a good reason not to buy anymore Pandora!”

Julie Pickthall added: “So much for helping local businesses.”

And Amanda Carr Wilkinson also asked: “Is there anyway we can complain to Pandora to show our disgust?”
