Barn Owl Bill will give flying demonstrations with his collection of birds, whilst West Lancashire Bat and Lancashire Badger groups will provide talks.

North West Reptile Club will allow children to get up close and personal with a host of snakes and lizards and donkeys Peanut and Bullseye will delight visitors.

There will also be performances from border Morris group Stone The Crows, as well as entertainment from magician Brian Berry.

Jackie Richardson, who owns Pets R Pals, said: “I support Hillside as I am a big animal lover. I do a different fund-raiser every year for a different year and this time I chose Hillside. This will be a great day out for the family and it will help a great cause.”

Hillside Animal Sanctuary was founded in 1995 to help and campaign for animals in need and to bring public awareness to the millions of animals suffering every day in the intensive factory farming industry.

As well as helping thousands of farming animals, it has given sanctuary to 1,500 horses, ponies and donkeys.
