Investigation launched after 11 people contract E.coli at farm shop

An investigation is underway after 11 people contracted E.coli after visiting a Lancashire farm shop.

Four people were also hospitalised after contracting E.coli 0157 after visiting Huntley’s Country Store in Samlesbury, near Preston, in recent weeks.

Public Health England said all cases had visited a lamb feeding events at Huntley’s.

There is no longer any risk to the public as all contact between animals and the public at the premises has now ceased.
