Watch Manager Mark Woodward said: "We were called to a building where numerous fires had been lit.

"We committed fire fighters in breathing apparatus and used a thermal imaging camera to locate the fires which we then extinguished using hose reels.

"We cleared the building of smoke using fans.

"Teams are now working with the police to establish who started these fires and we will be examining CCTV.

"We are also liaising with the council to ensure that the building is secured to prevent any further incidents."

Nobody was injured in the fire although the building suffered some fire damage.

Crews remained at the scene for around an hour.
