A festival of musical entertainment is on offer in Manchester this weekend.
Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre is to host the Royal Northern College Of Music’s Day Of Song on Sunday.
Audiences can enjoy the sounds of Europe during the 1890s.
RNCM singers will perform songs by Puccini, Debussy, Verdi and Elgar.
The theatre’s Great Hall will be filled with sounds from the early years of Tin Pan Alley and songs from King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin.
It starts at 10.30am and runs until 7.30pm.
Also this weekend, English National Ballet and English National Ballet School will present the third in their My First Ballet series with Coppélia at the Palace in Manchester on Saturday and Sunday.
There are five 80-minute performances of the show during the weekend.
The show is aimed at children aged three and above.
