'Increasing concern' for teenage girl who has been missing since Wednesday

A 17-year-old girl remains missing after disappearing from her home in Darwen three days ago.

Police say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" about Melissa Haworth, who was last seen at home at around 10am on Wednesday (November 18).

Officers describe Melissa as 5ft 7ins, with a large build and shoulder length brunette hair. She was last seen wearing a black denim jacket, a black hoodie with a 'Polo' logo, black trousers and trainers.

Melissa has links to Blackburn as well as her home town of Darwen.

A police spokesman said: "We are now concerned for her welfare and are appealing for your help to find Melissa.

"If you have seen her or have any information, please call us on 101 quoting log reference 1456 of November 18."
