Staff from HMRC’s Preston-based Customer Services Group held a World Cup sweepstake to achieve its goal of boosting funds already raised for Rosemere Cancer Foundation to £1,450 since April.
Colleagues from the team have committed to supporting the charity throughout 2018. To date, besides the sweepstake, it has held a raffle and six colleagues undertook a sponsored Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
Dan Alvarez, who organised the challenge, together with his colleague Marie Hurst, presented a cheque for the money raised so far to Cathy Skidmore, Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s Trust and corporate fund-raising manager.
The team is now planning a social evening and Guild Wheel cycle challenge as further fund-raising throughout the year.
